WOOD pellets are the magic bullets of the future, with so many applications that businesses,  householders and horse owners are wondering how they ever manage before the wood pellet revolution.
Fed up of shovelling smelly, sodden straw or wood shavings from your stable floor? Catch up with wood pellet horse bedding technology, and give your horses a comfortable bed, without the backbreaking work which was the norm before wood pellet horse bedding came along.
And with all our wood pellets coming from sustainable, renewable forests, there's no need to worry what will happen when the fossil fuels run out.

MJF Wood Pellet Horse Bedding is produced from 100% pure sawdust and shavings from sawmills processing timber from sustainably managed forest plantations in the UK.
There are no additives of any kind in our wood pellet horse bedding. The natural lignin in the timber binds the wood pellets together when the green timber is subjected to the vast heat during the pelletization process.
Wood pellets really do work wonders in the stable, getting rid of a great many of the unpleasant side effects which go along with the great pleasure of owning a horse.
One of the drawbacks is the eye-watering whiff of ammonia when you open the stable door in the morning.
We don't promise to get rid of it all together, but wood pellet horse bedding will certainly reduce it considerably.
All you have to do is spread a thin layer of wood pellets on the stable floor, after it has been thoroughly cleaned out.
Once the wood pellets are down, all you need do is sprinkle the wood pellets with a light mist of water from the hose, or even a watering can.
The wood pellets will immediately swell up to create a soft bed of pure sawdust which will soak up the horse's urine. The water transforms the wood pellets into the perfect agent for not only absorbing the urine, but ensuring the sawdust clumps together.
Wood pellet technology makes the soiled bedding much easier to remove, and therefore ensures a healthier and more pleasant atmosphere in the stable for horse and rider alike.
Using wood pellets also means that the size of your muck heap will also be dramatically reduced - probably by as much as half if you were using shavings prior to switching to wood pellets.
Wood pellet horse bedding is formulated so that muck will sit on top of the soft bedding, and the urine forms easily visible clumps which can be easily removed with the fine tine fork.  The amount of wood pellet bedding removed from the stable could be halved compared to shavings.
Another of the many advantages of wood pellet horse bedding is that the wood pellets are highly compressed; wood pellets require only a fraction of the storage space of traditional bedding products.
Wood pellets are also 100% biodegradable, and their use is not restricted to horses. Wood pellets can also be used to provide a comfortable bed for your rabbit, gerbil or guinea pig.
So how do you go about joining the wood pellet horse bedding revolution?
First clean the stable thoroughly, and then spread the  wood pellet horse bedding thinly and evenly on the stable floor. An average stable will need approximately 10 – 12, 10kg bags of wood pellets if the floor if concrete, while 6 - 8 bags of wood pellets  should suffice for rubber matting.
It is advisable to spray the wood pellet horse bedding with a watering can before hand to establish how much water is actually needed to activate the ultra dry wood pellets. You will be amazed to see the wood pellet horse bedding fluff up before your eyes, reaching four times its volume in wood pellet form, and it is some 40% more absorbent than wood shavings.
A fine tine fork should be used to spread the wood pellet horse bedding through the stable.
Another of the beauties of wood pellet horse bedding is when it comes to mucking out time. Only the manure and urine–soaked spots need removing. With the super absorbency of the fluffed up wood pellet horse bedding and the efficient removal of wet spots,  fumes are sharply reduced or eliminated.
Wood pellet horse bedding also means you are doing your bit for the environment.  Your waste will have a higher ratio of manure to carbon rich
wood pellets, and this provides a mixture that is highly suitable for composting.
Once you have laid your initial bed of wood pellets, maintenance could not be more simple. There is no need to muck out every few days when you are using wood pellet technology. Only 1-2 bags of wood pellet horse bedding is needed to be added each week to keep your horse in comfortable surroundings.
Apart from that, give the stable a light spray to maintain the fluffiness of the wood pellet bed. Keeping the wood pellets misted will eliminate the possibility of dust, and both wet and dry hoof problems, while ensuring your horse does not have to lie in a wet bed.
But you don't have to take our word about the multifarious benefits of wood pellet horse bedding.
