Clean, ‘Green’ Heat from Sawdust Heat Logs
We are all told to reduce our carbon footprints and do our bit for the environment.
Now there is a nice and easy way to do this whilst putting your feet up by the fire!  Switching from fossil fuels, such as oil, coal and gas to renewable fuels such as wood for home heating is a small but significant step in the global challenge to reduce overall CO2 emissions.
Traditional firewood logs are of course one option but these can be bulky to transport and cumbersome to store. High moisture content in the wood can also result in problems with lighting and keeping the fire alight. There are now several alternative products on the market competing with traditional firewood logs and these offer lots of added benefits.
The AGROL Heat Log is produced from compressed sawdust and shavings and is a very clean and convenient wood fuel ideal for wood burning and multi-fuel stoves, canal boat stoves, wood burning cookers and garden chimineas.
They can also be used on open fires and in garden chimineas providing patio heating that is environmentally friendly. Sold in packs of 12, the Heat Logs are conveniently wrapped and very easy to stack, store and handle. Each pack weighs 10KG. Agrol Heat Logs are up to three times more heat efficient than
normal firewood when burnt in a stove. Used on an open fire the heat output is reduced like with all fuels. You can expect 10-15 hrs effective burn time from one pack of Heat Logs (10 kg) when used in a stove.
They are also very ‘green’, made using the natural sawdust and shaving residues from sawmills that use 100% virgin timber from sustainably managed plantation forestry.

In comparison to standard firewood logs, AGROL Heat Logs are:
  • Very heat efficient – up to 3 times more heat output than traditional firewood logs when used in a stove
  • Made to a uniform size ensuring consistent, steady heat release
  • Easy to store – takes up less than half the space of normal logs
  • Very Dry (less than 10% moisture compared to around 40%+) – Ready to Use
  • Clean and convenient to handle, stack and store
