MJF Wood Energy Company History

THE Milburn name has been synonymous with quality wood products in the North of England for nearly two decades.
It was in 1992 that Hughie Milburn started his outdoor joinery business, working with his sons Peter and Jason, with daughter Rachel as company secretary.
Milburn Joinery and Fencing is based on the fringe of Kielder Forest, Europe's biggest man-made woodland, and locally produced timber is used for the various strands of the business.
Initially, the mainstay of the business was fencing and the provision of hand-crafted garden trelliswork and lapped fencing panels, which the Milburns delivered to builder's merchants, garden centres and private addresses throughout the North of England and into southern Scotland.
Rustic gates were another speciality, along with garden sheds and specially designed sheep troughs .
Over the years, the business has evolved, with fencing of all types the primary workload.
